DESCRIPTION:Since 2014\, Midlands Business Leadership Group (MBLG) has been gathering data to track the Columbia region's growth and progress and to improve our area's competitive position among our peers. In 2022\, MBLG introduced the Midlands Regional Competitiveness Council\, a group comprised of community leaders from private sector businesses both large and small\, regional governments\, non-profits\, K-12 education\, as well as our colleges and universities. MBLG tasked this group with creating a new report focused not only on the region's standing among its peers but also on showcasing the specific strides our region is making in a variety of areas.\n\nThe Elevate Midlands report will serve as a roadmap for next steps to improve talent retention\, promote entrepreneurship\, enhance economic development\, and provide access to our region's greatest assets.
