As the Lexington County Peach Festival celebrates its 57th year on July 4th, the Festival offers a full day of fun with the celebration of America’s birthday. Arts and crafts, children’s rides, and great foods will be available for varying fees in the Gilbert Community Park on Rikard Circle. A parade, three stages of entertainment, an antique tractor and farm equipment display, a car show, a Revolutionary War Re-enactment, and a fireworks show will be available without charge. The Revolutionary War Re-enactment will host cannon firings at specific times of the day as well as a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon.
Enjoy the activities, the shade, and the BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers, and peach cobbler. BBQ plate lunches will be available in the park beginning at 11 a.m. Other food items available are BBQ pork and chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, peach ice cream, peach cobbler, peach slush, peach parfaits, peach zip, peach berry split, peach sundaes, peach tea, peach delights, fresh peaches, soft drinks, bottled water, and iced tea. Plate lunches and cobbler are only available during the lunch hours. Peach cobbler usually sells out early!
